Wine Fair Oinorama 2008, Athens

 

In this exhibition stand the design focused on visualizing and materializing the design team’s need for a symbolical protesting against the material wastage that is very often experienced in similar events, both by the exhibitors and the organizers. Usually there is no provision for reusing a vast percentage of the material at the end of an exhibition, but there is even no provision for at least recycling it.

 

The proposal focused on the possibility of recycling all the material of the booth. All the partitions separating the storage from the wine tasting area and the meeting point, as well as the wine-tasting bar were constructed by empty white carton packaging boxes which were provided by the exhibitor.

 

The entire procedure was organized in collaboration with a recycling company. After the end of the exhibition the boxes were removed and placed in a special recycling vehicle and a certificate was issued to prove conformity with the goal.
